UNDATED (AP) - He's only been the presidential dog for a few days now. But Bo is already rivaling his master, President BarackObama when it comes to book projects.
A small Virginia publisher is rushing to get out a picture book for kids featuring the Portuguese water dog. The cover has the shot of Bo wearing the colorful lei he sported in some of the earliest photos of him after word came out that he was headed for the White House.
The author says he began he began writing a generic story about a Portuguese water dog story about two months ago. But once it became clear a member of Bo's breed would be chosen, the author added the White House spin to the book, called "Bo, America's Commander in Leash."
