MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Attorney General Troy King is askingthat execution dates be set for three Alabama death row inmates.
That request follows a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that cleared the
way for use of lethal injection.
King said Friday he has asked the Alabama Supreme Court to set
execution dates for Jimmy Dill of Jefferson County, Phillip
Hallford of Dale County and Willie McNair of Henry County.
King says the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in a Kentucky case
Wednesday removes any question as to the constitutionality of
Alabama's lethal injection protocol.
