LOS ANGELES (AP) - It's been a dreamy night for a couple of
"Dreamgirls." Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson both glided away with
trophies and wowed the audience with individual performances during
the 40th annual NAACP Image Awards.
Beyonce won the female artist category while Husdon picked up
the new artist award. They costarred in the 2006 film
"Dreamgirls."
More than 30 awards honoring achievements and performances of
people of color in TV, film, music and literature were handed out
during the glitzy Thursday ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium.
"The Secret Life of Bees" won for motion picture. "Grey's
Anatomy" won for TV drama. Acting winners included Will Smith,
Rosario Dawson, Sean Combs, Hill Harper and Chandra Wilson.

I thinks that its a waist of time and money, they are already stars and have been awarded enough, give some of that money to charity are support OBAMA give it to the stimulus plan for people that dont have anything.

Honestly,why do we need awards such as the 30-mentioned above,“People of Color Awards” Wasn’t there any white folks that accomplished great things,sounds like more reverse discrimination.
