A neglected dog was found in a recycling bin in Traverse City, Michigan.

The hungry, abandoned pooch was found Wednesday evening. Authorities estimated the dog is five to six years old. He was reported to be underweight, had frostbitten ears, bad teeth and had not been neutered.

Even with the physical problems, veterinarians treating the dog said he remained calm. Officials said after six weeks or so of rehabilitation, the dog would make a good pet.
