MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A female Alabama National Guard colonelclaims sex discrimination is keeping her from her former position
as a top aide to the head of the Guard.
Col. Robin Norris, who lives in Elmore County, is still in the
Guard but has not been allowed to return full-time.
The Army Inspector General's office released a report last May
saying she had an improper though nonsexual relationship with Maj.
Gen. Mark Bowen, who later resigned but disputed the allegation.
In April, a panel of officers outside the Alabama National Guard
determined the relationship was inappropriate but that Norris
should be allowed to remain in the Guard.
Alabama National Guard spokesman Norman Arnold said Thursday he
can't comment because another hearing is being scheduled in the
case.
