Delta Burke has reportedly checked herself into a psychiatric hospital in the L.A. area. The "Designing Women" star, 51, is allegedly seeking help in her battle against depression and obsessive compulsive disorder. Delta has battled many issues over the years involving substance abuse and weight control.
"We all have our burden's and our trials," she told a publication recently. "I talk a lot more about the depression and the panic attacks because I feel people are really suffering with that." This is not only an issue that matters in Hollywood, but also across the country. Burke became so distressed recently, that she decided to seek professional help. A former costar of Burke's told Canyon News. "She has always been a role model for women and her fans. She's a very strong woman. I am sure she'll get through this as well."
But she's also reportedly fighting another, less well-known ailment. Several reports say she's being treated for "hoarding," a debilitating habit she says has almost ruined her life.
