A holiday legend and his fancy footwork are back on the beat.Retired police officer Tony Lepore is known to people across New England as "The Dancing Cop."
Lepore was a full time Providence, RI police officer for 17 years before retiring in 1989. He made a name for himself by using his dance moves to get traffic moving. In 1997, then Mayor Vincent Cianci asked Lepore to help direct traffic during Christmas and a holiday tradition was born.
If you're traveling to Rhode Island for Christmas, Lepore is a must see attraction.
