COVINA, Calif. (AP) - The victims of a Christmas Eve attack at a
house party near Los Angeles may be officially identified today.
Police in Covina, California, believe the victims to be Sylvia
Pardo, the 43-year-old ex-wife of the shooter, Bruce Pardo, plus
her two brothers and their wives, her sister and a 17-year-old
nephew, as well as her parents.
All the bodies were charred by the fire Bruce Pardo started in
the house after he began shooting. Pardo fled the scene and later
killed himself.
The attack came six days after Bruce Pardo and his ex appeared
in court to finalize their divorce.
