JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) - Talk about your cold cash. An elderly Wisconsin couple found nearly 12-grand in the freezer of their newly rented apartment. Colleen Mesler says she found the damp and moldy bills when she was cleaning out the freezer. Mesler hopes she and her husband will get to keep the dough, which they turned over to police. She says it would be a big help with their bills.
Authorities in Janesville say the previous tenants were drug dealers. The city will keep the cash if it's proven the money came from dope sales.
