I agree with you John, my wife and I both carry and are willing to use if the situation dictates. With the way things are in society today I worry about my wife every time she goes to Wal-Mart or the mall.  She feels more comfortable alone knowing she can defend herself if necessary. I believe most of the problems with kids today lead right back to bad parenting, Just my 2 cents

It looks like no one was really on the bus to help against this savage animal. Two women, sitting nearby, they couldn’t affectively help.

That’s why I’m glad I live in Georgia, where you can readily carry a concealed weapon if you are licensed. I never leave home without my pistol firmly against my hip.

It’s sad that here is YET ANOTHER black male that gives the world yet another reason to believe that we are nothing but savages. It’s like the kid just SNAPPED and goes to show just how screwed many of our young males’ mindstates are.

Frankly, I would have pumped him full of bullet holes and would have been within legal bounds to do so. It’s sad that you have to have that mentality, but it’s either my life (which I value greatly) or his (which obviously he does not).

Under the good Samaritan law there has never been a successful law suit against anyone helping another person or so I’m told by fire department people,FEMA and the DEPT.OF HOMELAND SECURITY. So we can discard that reason. The person attacking or the person being attacked, either or both could have weapons and that is a real concern if you fear for your life. usually in situations like this your fight or flight instincts rule the decisions you make and shows how you were raised. I think the ones ignoring it and looking the other way are thinking exactly as you say, It’s not my business, I’m not going to get involved. The strange thing is that these same people are usually the ones that will yell for help the loudest and longest when being attacked and never even think of the very old saying of “ what you do to my neighbor you do also to me”.

Not that I believe I could sit and watch this type of stuff happen, I believe that most people do not get involved for several reasons, 1. 90% of the time the victem ends up sueing everyone even the good samaritan, police and ems workers, because thats a way to get something from someone for pain and suffering, 2. The person conducting the atacting could have a gun or knife and come after you instead of the original person.  Most people think its not my business so I wont get involved. It’s a sad world we live in where elderly people and women get beat on in public and people just stand by and watch, sad sad world.

Everyone on that bus should be charged and thrown in jail for not helping him.  I wonder why they didnt?
