The department released more than two dozen tapes, including video of a fleeing motorcyclist being knocked from his bike by a Charleston County trooper in April 2006.
That incident was reviewed by the Highway Patrol and the trooper was sent to counseling.
In February 2005, a 16-year-old fleeing police in Spartanburg County had his vehicle rammed by a trooper's patrol car. The teenager was dragged from his vehicle and stomped by Lance Cpl David Chapman.
Chapman was suspended a month after the incident. He retired from the Highway Patrol in 2006 and pleaded guilty to misconduct in office. He was sentenced to probation.
The 27 tapes were released Friday in anticipation of upcoming confirmation hearings for the new DPS director Mark Keel.
This month, Keel was nominated by Governor Mark Sanford to replace former safety director James Schweitzer.
Schweitzer stepped down in February after other videos were released, including a trooper using a racial epithet and troopers hitting suspects with patrol cars.
