COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Nothing draws college students to a porn movie like trying to ban it. About 200 University of Maryland
students have watched clips from "Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge."

Last week, administrators axed plans to show the triple X-rated movie, after a state lawmaker threatened to cut off funding
for the school. Last night's screening was organized by students in protest. They invited professors to join a discussion on the free
speech issues involved.

Gail Baltazar, a 22-year-old senior, says she found the sex scenes a little shocking. But she says she showed up because she wanted to make a point about free speech.

Why were they showing it anyway?

I had a teacher at USA that was going to show Penthouse’s Caligula (pretty historically accurate), but one student was only 17 so he said he couldn’t show it…I now own the Imperial Edition. smile

Gee, I wonder why they wanted to cut funding for this school.
