ATLANTA (AP) A judge says accused courthouse shooter Brian Nichols' murder trial will resume in Georgia July 10. The trial was suspended during jury selection in October due to problems funding Nichols' defense.
Those problems have not been completely resolved, but Judge James Bodiford has sought to move the case along.
Authorities say Nichols was being escorted to a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse for the continuation of his rape retrial on March 11, 2005, when he beat a deputy and stole her gun.
He is accused of killing the judge and three others before surrendering the next day after allegedly taking a woman hostage in her suburban Atlanta home.
