PARIS (AP) - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are welcoming theirnew baby boy and girl, Knox and Vivienne.
The twins were born by Cesarean section last night at a seaside
hospital in southern France.
Jolie's doctor says little Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline --
and both parents -- are doing "marvelously well." He says he
believes the baby girl's middle name was chosen in honor of Jolie's
mother, actress Marcheline Bertrand, who died last year.
The doctor says the Cesarean was moved forward from its original
date "for medical reasons" so the babies could be born "in the
best conditions." He did release further details. Jolie checked
into the hospital last month, and is expected to stay there a few
more days.
The twins will be joining the couple's four other children:
Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh.
