Birmingham Police have issued an Amber Alert for a missing 16-year-old and the baby she was watching.
Lieutenant Henry Irby said the babysitter, 16-year-old Antoinetta Smith, has a history of running away but she always returns.Smith was last seen with one-year-old Treshon Williams around 10:00 p.m. Thursday night at 3009 31st Avenue North in the Collegeville community.
Irby doesn't necessarily feel foul play was involved, but he said Smith doesn't have the "necessary means" to take care of Williams at this time.
Smith is to believed to be driving in a maroon, 1997 Ford Crown Victoria with Alabama tag 14127AN. The car belongs to Williams' mother. She came home last night to find her son, babysitter, and car missing.
If anyone has information about any of their whereabouts, please call the Birmingham Police Department at 205.254.0800.
