MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A 10-year-old Montgomery girl was shot
and killed.
Montgomery Police spokesman Capt. Huey Thornton said the girl
was pronounced dead at the scene on Lynwood Drive Thursday

Police have not released the identity of either youth.

Justme, first I’m going to assume you mean Angels and not Angles. And if you believe in Christian folklore, or have read a Bible, you would know that the Angels are not people, but a seperate, inferior being.

Heaven needs angles, But not this way!

I think most hide the guns away some place handy in case they are needed and never bother showing or telling the kids why they are needed and how much harm they can do. Kids will attempt to learn by them selves if not taught. There should never be a loaded gun in the house if children are there permanently or temporary. As said the shells should be in another spot known only by the adults of the house.

I truly feel for another senseless loss. Why can people not learn to either keep their guns well out of reach, separate bullets and the firearm, or put a lock on the trigger. Gun accidents can be prevented.
Children also need to be taught that guns are not toys, and to always treat a gun as if it is loaded. That way, if they do find one within reach, they will think before handling it.

Razorsharp the answer is simple, ignorant parents. I think they should be held accountable too. They should be charged with involuntary manslaughter and improper storage of a firearm. People get away with way too much these days, and are able to shrug their shoulders and say “OOPS”!!

How is it possible that a 10 year old child (or any child for that matter) has access to a firearm? This is never ending.
