8 Teens Face Felony Charges For Taped Beating

According to authorities, six teen girls beat 16-year-old Victoria Lindsay until she was unconscious while two other teens stood as look-outs. The parents feel bullying, glamorized violence, and the internet all played a role in the attack. 8 Teens Face Felony Charges For Taped Beating

Six teen girls and two teen boys in Florida will face felony charges for their roles in the video taped beating of 16-year-old Victoria Lindsay. The graphic video of the attack was planned to be posted on the popular video-sharing website Youtube, according to authorities. The Polk County Sheriff's office say Lindsay was lured to a friend's house and then blocked by the girls from leaving. Two teens stood guard outside, even knocking on the front door to tell the girls inside they were being too loud and that neighbors were wondering what was going on. The video shows the teens spewing obscenities at Lindsay while she begs to leave. You can hear one girl, not in front of the camera, saying, "Oh yeah baby, oh yeah!" while the girls continue to throw punches at Lindsay's head and face. After the beating, authorities say that the girls put Lindsay in a car and drove her to another location where they dropped her off and told her that they would beat her even more if she tried to call police. Investigators say the attack was sparked by comments left on the teens' Myspace pages. All eight of the teens involved now face felony battery and false imprisonment charges. Seven teens remain in juvenile detention. One boy that was charged as an adult is free on bond. Meanwhile, Victoria Lindsay's mother, says she will be home schooled because returning to class would be "too much of a humiliation." On Fox News last night Greta Van Susteren interviewed one of the mothers of one of the girls in jail. She also talked to that girl’s grandmother. Both of them were trying to paint a bad picture of the victim and I felt that they were really missing the point of the whole thing. Not even the mangiest of dogs deserves the kind of treatment that girl received at the hands of so-called friends. Watching that video made me want to puke! And watching their parents trying to make excuses for that behavior made me want to kick some butt!

I say throw the book at the little monsters!

as for the two boys out front that are going to say ‘well.. we never actually hit victoria’..to that i say.. in a bank hold-up..it doesn’t matter that all you did was drive the getaway car… you’re still a bankrobber..that logic should apply here.. they were a willing part of the conspiracy to hurt her..

wouldn’t that also be kidnapping once they forcibly put her in the car and drove her from that location to another against her will?
and obstruction of justice when they threatened her against going to the police? anyone know?

Like I posted on the other thread, we need to try caning or some type of public butt whooping. Kids pretty much know they will not get much punishment for acts such as this. At least with this type of punishment, hopefully they will think before they act. I have a 5 year old, I shudder to think what it will be like in this old world when he gets to be a teenager.

I believe in tough justice and an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. They need to be made an example of to put forth a message that this is not okay. Decent children can’t even get an education because of thugs like this.

AMEN! They need to be expeled from school and treated as adults. Some upbringing they must of had, i know what i would of gotten at home if i had of done this to someone, what is wrong with parents and kids today?

Initially seeing that video made my blood boil! Seeing one of the gang’s mothers practically say the girl deserved what she got almost made my head explode! Throw the book at ‘em!!!!!!!!!!!
