Boy Was Never In Helium Balloon That Floated Away

FORT COLLINS, Colorado - (AP) - A 6-year-old Colorado boy feared to
have floated off in a helium balloon has been found safe at his
home, hiding in a cardboard box in the garage attic.
Sheriff Jim Alderman turned to reporters during a news
conference and held thumbs up and said, "He's at the house."
Alderden said an investigator on the scene saw the boy and he was
fine.
He said the boy apparently has been in the attic the whole time.
The boy's brother had said he saw 6-year-old Falcon Heene get in
the balloon before it took off. The flight last two hours and
spanned 50 miles and set off a frantic search.

If you go an watch the video on cnn.com this morning there are several “holes” in the dad’s story. (1) He couldn’t even watch the video the other sibling took of the launch. (2) He doesn’t seemed to want the media to see he curse on the pre-launch video they must have…why? (3) He didn’t know where the kid had been hiding at to answer the questions during this media interview in his own house/garage. (4) He called his own kid CRAZY on national TV after this ordeal. (5) Dad states he keeps all their experiments to their self…cnn ireports does not come in that category. (6) Dad said that Mom watched video and then Mom looks at the sibling that took the video like “what did you see?” (7) Kid was worried because he had been hollered and cursed at by his Dad…verbal abuse maybe??? I might could come up with one or two more to make it “lala’s top 10 list” but I’ve got to start my day…remember, they come from CA and maybe he couldn’t get a job there as an actor. [sorry, maybe I shouldn’t have said that last one] jmo

I believe the dad knew the balloon would never carry his son, as a matter of fact I believe he planed this show from start to end! I hope he has to PAY!!!

The dad comes across like he really, really loves the spotlight. It would be a shame if he used his kids just to get back in front of the cameras.

I think that it may have been planned. Why would the ballon have been filled with helium if they weren’t planning on flying it? Then the boy’s comments… Mighty suspicious.

I will make the statement now about the old sayings… “ask and you shall receive” and then the other one “kids say the darndest things.” I do think “kids will be kids” but I BELIEVE THAT AS PARENTS WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WATCHING THEM AND TRYING OUR BEST TO KEEP THEM SAFE. You do not place them in the situation this dad left these 3 in and walk away. Also, this means you DO NOT take 3 kids into an eye of a hurricane as a science project. [jmo]
