GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Ten-year-old Kennedy Corpus has a good excuse for missing the last day of school -- a note to her teacherfrom President Barack Obama. She went with her dad to a town hall meeting on health care yesterday in Green Bay, Wisc.
John Corpus asked a question and told Obama about his daughter. The president got a big laugh when he offered to write a note. But the president
was serious.
Obama wrote: "Please excuse Kennedy's absence. She's with me." Signed, "Barack Obama."
He gave it to the fourth-grader, who says it's "like the best thing ever." Kennedy adds she'll give her teacher a copy and frame the original.
