ThyssenKrupp's new steel mill will be located near Calvert, in North Mobile and Washington Counties. The people that will be the most affected will be the closest neighbors. What was once a wooded area will now be a state of the art steel mill. News 5 visited a ThyssenKrupp mill in Germany to give you an idea about what the Alabama mill will look like.
The mill will employ 2,700 people. ThyssenKrupp will be looking for engineers, managers, operations personnel and office workers. They will need people at different education and experience levels.
