Since February, Tiahrt has been very outspoken about the Air Force choosing the Northrop Grumman/EADS tanker over Boeing's.
Tiahrt says Wednesday's decision by the GAO is vindication. Hear his entire news conference by clicking on the video tab.
in boeings own words, they had to cut cost to compete with airbus, so tiahrt is happy with plastic for our military and our national security. he really deserves a finger.
COLLABORATIVE EFFORT.” Boeing needed to cut costs to be able to compete with the more efficient Airbus, but Boeing also needed top engineering talent from around the world to help it pull off what will be the design and production of the first plastic commercial jetliner. “We just had to make sure that we absolutely found the most capable and the best of what we needed,” Bair says. “We couldn’t limit it to Boeing, Washington state, or the U.S.”
is it true the boeing proposal would be for a leased tanker, if so that would be less plane for the military and more tax dollars for the u.s. tax payer.
sk2ss , welcome to mobile, we all make mistakes but you are smart enough to realize and admit it
I am totally shamed of Todd Tiahrt’s comments. being has had so many crooked deals over the years, and believe Boeing should not be trusted. I am just about ashamed to even admit that I lived in Kansas for many years, and Helped get Todd Tiahrt elected for his first term. Just another Political bunch of bs. Do they really do their research on things.
Where was he when Boeing was trying to swindle the taxpayer with that lease deal that sent a couple of scape goats to prison?
A picture perfect example of how a politcian can care less about how much tax dollars he has cost the American Taxpayer. He calls it vinication, the American people call it wasteful spending.

That would be great wouldn’t it ? they wouldn’t need to shoot one of our planes down if they were made out of plastic just fly by and spray some paint thinner on it and the pilots would be left trying to grab air!
