Sam Jones: "We're not gonna let anyone take anything from our community, that's for sure." Mobile Mayor Says Tanker Fight Isn’t Over

Mobile's Mayor Sam Jones has been in the tanker fight from the beginning.
News 5 caught up with him Wednesday evening to find out his assessment of what happened.
Jones told News 5, "I feel comfortable with the team we have. I feel comfortable with the aircraft we have. It's just a matter of us winning again. I really don't look at that as being the end of the line, I think it's the beginning."

Boeing is going to come out ahead in the end no matter what.  If the whole thing goes up for bid again and we win, Boeing is going to protest it again and again till they get it. It’s all about money and politics and we have nither so we lose.

it is kind of like david and goliath, i am going to every posterboard and asking europe to boycott all washington state products, you have to hit these idiots in their pocket books. no more washington apples, wood, etc.  here is the link of the products they export to france i will also be boycotting any retail store that carries their products.http://www.cted.wa.gov/DesktopModules/CTEDPublications/CTEDPublicationsView.aspx?tabID=0&ItemID=5640&MId=877&wversion=Staging

With this project, looks as if Boeings money has paid off again, money talks and I think it was heard loud and clear. Boeing has executives in prison now for paying people off. It’s a shame when it looks as if Congress is going to get in the middle of this. They should let the Air Force handle it with the procedures which was fair for both sides. This country is going to pot fast because of a sloppy Congress and the high powered with all their millons. In my opinion it money that talking and not the system. The little people are always the one who get hurt.  RWG

Well a good starting point would be for our state senators and congressmen to become outraged at the treatment of their constituents and then vindictively strike back at these people. That’s the only thing these people understand, money and power. You could turn the other cheek and get that one slapped too and say throw us some crumbs if you can please, or you could get your representatives to hit’em where it hurts, in their bank accounts. That’s what we pay our representatives for, to know how to do this. If they are unwilling to get down and dirty, tell them Food World is needing some stock boys.
