Grumman were selected for an Air Force tanker contract because they
offered a superior product.
Riley defended the selection today, which would bring 2,000 jobs
to Mobile.
Boeing is asking the Air Force to explain why it was passed over
for European company that would do part of the plane work outside
the United States.
Riley says analysts praised the EADS-Northrop plane. He says it
would be a mistake for the United States to give an inferior
product to its war fighters simply to protect jobs.
