Generals Fight for Tanker

22 Generals have written the Secretary of Defense asking him to support the Air Force's choice to buy tankers from Northrop Grumman and EADS.

22 Air Force Generals have written a letter to the Secretary of Defense asking that he support the Air Force's choice to have Northrop Grumman and EADS build the next generation of tankers. The letter was sent yesterday. It says the new tankers are the backbone of the Air Force and need to be replaced as soon as possible. It also says they are troubled by the attacks from Boeing that question the conduct of the Air Force in the selection process. The letter urges Secretary of Defense Robert Gates to stand up and help defend the Air Force from politically motivated attacks. Click here to read the letter for yourself.
