The Government Accountability Office has released its 67 page report that explains why it says the $40 billion tanker contract should be re-bid.

Last week, the GAO SAID it found "a number of significant errors" that might have affected the competition between Boeing and Northrop Grumman/EADS." It recommended the Air Force hold a new competition.

If Northrop Grumman/EADS keeps the contract, the tankers will be built at Brookley Field in downtown Mobile. For now, the groundbreaking of the $600 million dollar tanker facility that was planned for Saturday is on hold.

Well from the looks of things, that moveon site has tons of knowledge about Tiahrt’s contributors and his greed. I think I’m starting to like them just a little bit.

All rightie, Carl6 has made his contribution to the melee in Kansas, slow but sure.

That is a good example of the misleading reports coming from the media in Seattle and Kansas. Dont want the folks to hear what they dont want them to hear. No local advertising dollars if you tick off the local reader by reporting the real facts of the deal. Notice no mention of jobs created in Alabama, only Boeing jobs. Notice any mention of other Congressman from other states opposed to the Congressman from Washington and Kansas. Why no!! This is exactly why so many folks in these states are so misinformed. It is kinda funny reading how one sided the media can be on any issue anywhere at any time. Kinda takes the meaning away from fair and balanced.
