Mobile Mayor Sam Jones watched the annexation election results come in at the Mobile County Fairgrounds. He says changes will come soon to area "A" that approved annexation. Supporters say becoming part of Mobile has been a long time in the making.

Annexation Battle Not Over Yet

Sam Jones just applied simple logic when he made the decision to divide the areas. The whole pie is harder to consume and therefore he used the one slice at a time process. His job, as he sees it, is to obtain more revenue for Mobile. His concern for the protection of the area may be a goal but of course the top priority is revenue. He should be looking at better ways to spend our tax dollars. Too much waste going on in government and there is not enough monitoring of their actions. Fancy cars, fancy equipment, special trips which really are just nice paid for vacations are just some of the items of abuse. Stealing tax dollars or using the assets for personal gain should be monitored by an independent committee and people held accountable for their abuse. Bishop State issue is just one of many that still exists. Going after those crooks is the right thing to do. Some peple are saying this is a issue of race. I don’t care what color you are if you are stealing my tax money I call your color THIEF.
But, the issue at hand, Sam jones is just applying legal tactics to achieve his goals.
