People who shop and eat in the section of West Mobile that was recently annexed by the city will notice a tax increase starting Thursday.
- City Sales Tax Rate: 4% (currently 2%)
- Restaurant Tax Rate: 5% (currently 2%)
- Gasoline Tax: .04 (currently .02)
City officials are projecting that over $10 million dollars will be generated from businesses in the annexed area.

Don’t forget about the sewer connection. Each one will need to come with 3K to 6K to connect. Congrats West Mobile on your early Christmas gift.
