News 5 has confirmed the City of Mobile will launch a new annexation plan tomorrow morning.

City Spokesperson Barbara Drummond would not get into specifics but tells us the city's new annexation plan will be quote -- "very aggressive."

News 5 obtained a map of the area the city wants to annex. It includes parts of Tillmans Corner and Theodore.

Last September, despite a ton of opposition, the city annexed a chunk of West Mobile, including Mobile Terrace, Cadillac Park, the business corridor along Schillinger Road areas along Airport Blvd.

Will the new annexation plan be welcomed, or divisive and controversial? Steve Alexander will answer that question on News 5 at 10:00.

Maybe those in the proposed area can drive around Mobile Terrace and see how it is almost a year after annexation - does not look any different!! Of course, the city is spending a lot of money for entrance markers in brick for Hillsdale along Cody Road across the street from Mobile Terrace.

What happens to Mobile County Water, Sewer & Fire Protection Authority and what happens to my water bill? What happens to my property taxes?

I live in the county and I am not sure what I would get out of such a deal. The sales tax at the places I shop will immediately go up, but what do I get? A huge bill to switch from septic system to a new sewer system?

This will be a great thing, Theodore to become part of mobile, i have been living here all my life, and for the last 3 to 4 years its been hard just to get the grass cut along side the roads,

We out here past the airport will fight it tooth and nail when they come for us. They are playing a different game with us by using the airport as the target.

I sure hope you folks in Tillmans Corner can fight off the beast. They won’t stop until they run the county into the ground.

Many of us LEFT the city due to the horrid state of affairs. Why follow us into bordering areas and force us, with unfair tactics, to be a part of a city whose government we so despise???????
