Opponents of Mobile's annexation plan could decide as early as next Tuesday whether to file a lawsuit challenging the election results.

Residents and business owners in the Theodore and Tillmans Corner area will discuss their options at a meeting October 14th in the Nan Gray Davis Auditorium. The meeting starts at 7pm.

Annexation critics say Mobile's plan disinfranchised thousands of voters by only allowing 1,200 of the areas 22,000 residents to participate in the special election.

The annexation proposal passed in Theodore and Tillmans Corner with 454 people voting yes and 180 voting no.

I have no idea it should be public record. But hear something that also should raise an eyebrow. the workers at this polling place. were telling the voters what to mark and how to vote. sources say.I myself am taking my business to Mississppi. if this can’t be overturned.maybe move there.I am sick to death of Sam Jones and the city counselmen

How can we get a look at the voting records on this annexation?  And, who were the inspectors at the polling place that certified the results?
. Ascertainment, certification and delivery of election results.
. The inspectors at the respective voting places must, as soon as the polls are closed, ascertain and certify the results of the election at their respective voting places to the judge of probate and deliver the same to the returning officer, who must at once return the same to the judge of probate.

I also understand that some of the peoples addys were not homes at all they were a business. I don’t think this going to pass. there is alot of controversy over the vote and the practices behind it. it was just plain wrong. but i can tell you this much. All the construction going on at the mcdonald road and I-10 exit. Mobile won’t get their hands on that area. these people have started the process. TO KEEP FROM HAPPENING

A church designated as a polling place that was using the pulpit to sell the idea of annexation, the city using city vehicles to transport people to the voting precinct and a suggestion of voter fraud should all bring this annexation to a screeching halt.  However, it will have to get past the probate judge that signed off on this atrocious violation of property rights in the first place.

just to add to jamies statements. there was public officals there that stated there was some voter fraud involed in this vote. And from what i understand. the city used their vans to bring people in to vote.  i think that is illegal? And where did they bring them in from. cause the voting place is right in the middle of the neighborhood. where the voting took place.still some investigating to be done.

Thanks for the info Jamie Burch!  Does the group have any contact info available?

People own those businesses and they employ people!
. This is going in a circle and has become a little too silly for me.  It is all spelled out in the code, but some want to ignore the things that do not support their claims.  Or, maybe it is simply a lack of comprehension.
