Welcome to the WKRG News 5 First Alert Storm Alert sign-up page for severe weather e-mail bulletins. First Alert Storm Alert is a free e-mail service that delivers Watches and Warnings issued by the National Weather Service for Tornadoes, Flash Floods, and Severe Thunderstorms.

From the list below you select what counties you want and whether you want a regular e-mail for your computer or a condensed e-mail for your cell phone, PDA, or other wireless device with an e-mail address. Check with your service provider if you are unsure of the device's e-mail address. NOTE that regular messaging charges may apply based on your wireless service plan.

If you live near the border of other counties it's a good idea to include those counties so you'll know when bad weather is heading toward you. This is an excellent source of information for schools, malls, churches, businesses, individuals, outdoor events, travelers and any person whether they are inside or outdoors.

These e-mails are sent 24 hours a day, 7 days a week only when a severe weather Watch or Warning is issued by the National Weather Service for the counties you choose. You can change your subscription counties or unsubscribe at any time.

First Alert Storm Alert should complement your weather radio since good weather radios have built in alarms to wake you or get your attention.
