USM Receives Large Cash Gift

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - The University of Southern Mississippi
has received a $6 million gift from an anonymous donor - the
largest single cash gift in the school's history.
USM President Martha Saunders says $5 million will be used for
scholarships.
Saunders announced the gift Tuesday.
Saunders says the $1 million will use for strategic initiatives.
