A Mississippi church destroyed by two hurricanes was dealt another blow.
Someone stole precious communion pieces that once belonged to Jefferson Davis.
They were stored in a closet at the Church of the Reedemer in Biloxi.
Assistant Pastor Jane Bearden says the pieces have been passed down from generation to generation and can't believe someone would want to steal them.
"These were valuable enough that in both Camille and Katrina people in the parish had came and gotten them and taken them away, taken them to safety and it's just almost unbelievable to me that in the instant, a blink of an eye, that much of our history, that piece had been gone," said Rev. Jane Bearden.

amen. that’s pretty bad when you have to steal from the church. let’s hope and pray they find them before they end up somewhere for scrap metal.

Like I said the other day, nothing surprises me but when people feel it necessary to steal from the church, steal the church house, steal the sacred pieces that are part of the church’s history and that are used to bring honor to our Good Lord then we indeed are living in very sad times. It just makes me sick to think about it. People who can steal from our Good Lord and his disciples are truly people who are servants of the Devil. Remember Vengence is mine saith the Lord…..
