A Mississippi church destroyed by two hurricanes was dealt another blow.Someone stole precious communion pieces that once belonged to Jefferson Davis.
They were stored in a closet at the Church of the Reedemer in Biloxi.
Assistant Pastor Jane Bearden says the pieces have been passed down from generation to generation and can't believe someone would want to steal them.
"These were valuable enough that in both Camille and Katrina people in the parish had came and gotten them and taken them away, taken them to safety and it's just almost unbelievable to me that in the instant, a blink of an eye, that much of our history, that piece had been gone," said Rev. Jane Bearden.
If you know anything about this theft, contact the Biloxi Police Department or call: 228-385-8383.
