But it’s not like they force the animals to fight, it’s what they live for. If these animals come together in a natural surrounding, they will fight to death, rather it takes hours, minutes, or days. It’s a multi-million dollar industry, and if they make it a felony in Alabama, the agricultural industry is going to feel it. These guys spend thousands upon thousands of dollars a year in feed, vitamins, wire, tin, rope, and many other items required in order to breed and raise these animals. It’s kinda a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation. Making this “sport” illegal, is going to effect thousands of people, and put a big dent in Alabama’s agricultural economy.
