BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - The Palace Casino in Biloxi has announcedan expansion that will include a new spa and fitness center,
meeting facilities and business center.
Palace officials haven't put a price tag on the expansion.
General Manager Keith Crosby says construction is expected to begin
in February.
The 110,000-square-foot expansion will include a remodeled lobby
and atrium.
When the work is completed in 2011, Crosby says the resort will
have 38,000 square feet of casino space with more than 1,000 slot
machines, 26 new table games and a poker room. There will be
nonsmoking areas and improved air quality throughout the casino.
The Palace will have a new 300-seat buffet with live cooking
stations and a bakery will replace the buffet that was created in
the ballroom after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
