JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A 38-year-old Jackson man U.S. Marshals describe as a "cracked-out maniac" has been added to the agency'snational Top 15 most-wanted fugitives list.
Elliot Evans Stamps has been charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault and armed robbery. He is accused of beating Doretha Bolden with a hammer and then stabbing her several times at her home on April 25, 2007.
Bolden's attacker drove her around the Jackson area, forcing her
to withdraw cash from ATMs, before dumping her at a Crystal Springs
trailer park. She regained consciousness long enough to seek help.
Task forces now are looking for Stamps in the Mississippi Gulf
Coast and Chicago/Great Lakes areas. Southern District of
Mississippi U.S. Marshal Nehemiah Flowers said Stamps is considered
armed and dangerous.
