A Hurley, Mississippi woman got so fed up with the reported meth lab next door, she calls the law. The catch is that the neighbor is her own daughter.34-year old Carissa McCary was arrested and charged with manufacturing meth.
McCary's mom reportedly found meth making material in a laundry basket inside a shed that both women shared. Authorities say when they showed up, they found a laundry list of material used to make the drug.
Lieutenant Curtis Spiers with the Jackson County Narcotics Task Force says this is a case of mom saying enough is enough. "You can try to help your family as much as you can but until they're willing to receive help, you're really banging your head against the wall. In this case, the mother must have been tired of banging her head against the wall."
McCary is charged with manufacturing meth and is sitting in the Jackson County jail on a ten thousand dollar bond. McCary's boyfriend Joe Billy Finch was also charged and he was easy to find. Finch was already in jail for forgery and now has a new charge added to his rap sheet.
