JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Republican Sen. Roger Wicker ofMississippi says he will vote against confirming Sonia Sotomayor to
the U.S. Supreme Court.
Wicker said in a statement Tuesday that Sotomayor has shown an
"alarming hostility" toward gun owners.
Wicker also said he believes Sotomayor would not be impartial.
He said he worries that Sotomayor, nominated by President Barack
Obama, would base her decisions on "personal experiences and group
preferences" rather than on the law.
