The severe weather that affected much of the Gulf Coast Saturday morning has now claimed at least one life. D'Iberville Police say that 36-year old Eugene Dixon Jr., of D'Iberville Mississippi was found dead after his truck was taken over by rushing flood waters.

Around 4 Saturday morning, police received a call from a neighbor after they spotted taillights shining in a drainage ditch behind his residence. When police arrived, they say the vehicle was wedged against a tree in the ditch with its driver's side window down, but no one was inside the vehicle. Police then conducted a search of the area and found Dixon's body approximately 200 yards from the vehicle. The vehicle found in the ditch was registered in Dixon's name.

This case is still under investigation
