Man Drowns While Cleaning His Pool

Mississippi Ocean Springs An Ocean Springs woman found her husband at the bottom of their pool. She told police was was cleaning it not long before she found him.

OCEAN SPRINGS, Mississippi - Police are investigating how an Ocean Springs man drowned while cleaning his pool.

According to police, 55 year old Peter Freitas drowned Sunday afternoon at his home on Blue Heron. Police say Freitas was cleaning his pool around Noon. About 20 minutes later, his wife found him at the bottom. She pulled him out and called 911.

Officers and EMT's tried to resuscitate Freitas. He was pronounced dead at Ocean Springs Hospital.

I was going to say heart attack-but not sure why Ocean Springs PD would be involved if it was a medical cause. hmmmm
