arrested two people with 4½ pounds of Ecstasy pills with a street
value of approximately $160,000.
Deputies seized the drugs during a traffic stop Sunday night on
Interstate 12.
During the stop, deputies received consent to search the vehicle
and, with the help of a drug dog, found an ice chest lined with
Ecstasy pills.
Twenty-one-year-old Dung A. Tran and 18-year-old Paula T.
Nguyen, both of Mississippi, were arrested and booked with
possession with intent to distribute Ecstasy.
Deputies discovered that the Ecstasy originated in Biloxi,
Mississippi, and was en route to Baton Rouge.
