Deadly Police Shooting In Gulfport

Mississippi Gulfport  Police say a man who pulled a gun on employees at a Goodwill store was shot and killed by an officer.

GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Police say a man who pulled a gun on
employees at a Goodwill store in Gulfport was shot and killed by an
officer.
Police Chief Alan Weatherford says the man, 59-year-old Gayron
L. Sanders of Gulfport, was threatening suicide. Weatherford says
the officer attempted to talk to the man and shots were fired by
the man and the officer.
Weatherford says the officer wasn't hit, but the man was shot
and killed.
The incident occurred Thursday at the Norwood Village Shopping
Plaza.
Weatherford said the incident remains under investigation.
