Burglary Suspect Shot & Killed

Mississippi Pascagoula Police say a Pascagoula man shot a burglar who was climbing through his mother's window.

Police say a Pascagoula man shot a burglar who was climbing through his mother's window.

According to police, 20-year-old Javorous Tims tried to break into a a unit at the Granada Apartments on Chicot Road around 1 o'clock Friday morning.

The woman who lives there was awakened by a noise at her window. When she realized someone was trying to break in, she ran down to her son's room and woke him up.

The son grabbed his gun and went to his mother’s bedroom where he found Tims climbing through the window. He fired two shots. One of them hit Tims in the chest.

Tims took off, but he made it less than 30 yards before he collapsed and died.

No charges have been filed. However the case will be presented to a grand jury.

Great shooting and Good Riddance..
Wish I could see more stories like this one instead of innocent people being terrorized by thugs like this. She probably would have been raped and murdered. Great ending.

Sorry, but the State of Alabama shouldn’t reward him anything because it happened in Mississippi, but I would be happy to give him money for more ammo. It needs to happen more often and maybe thugs would get the message.

I’ll bet’cha some family member (of the dead guy) will shortly come on here - telling us how he was such a fine fellow and didn’t deserve being shot.

Personally, I feel that the state of Alabama should reward the burglarized family the cost of the consumed ammo.

I would have done the same thing. I am sure he wasn’t stopping by for coffee. Save them tax dollars. My prayers go out to his family. God bless them with love and understanding for this young persons life.
