BREAKING NEWSMINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress tells
The Star Tribune that Brett Favre will not be coming out of
retirement.
In a report posted on the newspapers' Web site on Tuesday,
Childress said Favre did not want to put himself through the grind
of another football season.
Favre retired for a second time after playing for the New York
Jets last season. He had surgery in May to alleviate a torn biceps
tendon.
