BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - A 16-year-old Biloxi youth has been
sentenced to life in prison with parole after being convicted of
killing his father.
A Harrison County jury on Thursday convicted Dante Lamer Evans
of murder in the 2007 slaying of 40-year-old Darold Lee Evans.
Prosecutor say the teenager shot his father while the man was
asleep.
Prosecutors say the youth had moved to Biloxi to live with his
father in a FEMA trailer park but decided to kill his father
because he was too strict.
