PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - A 44-year-old bank executive has been
charged with touching a child for lustful purposes in incidents
dating back 10 years.
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd says Claude A. Coleman was
arrested Tuesday. He was being held pending an initial court
appearance.
Byrd says Coleman, a vice president with Regions Bank, was
arrested after a two-month investigation into allegations from a
woman that Coleman molested her 23-year-old son 10 years ago.
Byrd says deputies in Jackson and Lauderdale counties executed
search warrants on Coleman's home in Gautier, a hunting camp near
Meridian and a fishing camp in Jackson County.
Byrd says investigators believe Coleman was the only adult
chaperone for boys and young teens during trips to the camps.

$50.25?

make it 51 and your on

Yep. If he is cleared of all charges, I bet you $50 that WKRG will not run anything on it.

Ten years is a pretty good amount of time to wait before charging someone with this type of crime.I would have trouble convicting anyone of a crime like this after ten years unless they had very convincing proof. As I’ve said before,I don’t think any one’s picture or name should be published until convicted just in case they have the wrong person.I’m for hard punishment for those convicted but those found innocent can still have a lot of damage done to their lives after acquittal.

now mike you know we know more than any jury or judge. we are the news forum responders fter all. it sounds very very fishy and needs to be throughly investiv=gated. this “Victim” is hiding while this guy gets toasted in the media for something that might not have happened ten years ago. someone has an ax to grind

what happened to innocent until proven guilty? sounds like some of us already have this guy tried and convicted without first having a fair trial, maybe we should label him a witch and burn him at the stake.if he is guilty then yes he deserves what he gets, however if if he is innocent just think what this does for his reputation.let the court decide his guilt or innocence before we put the rope around his neck, unless you were there you don’t really know what happened.

If justice is served, this predator will receive the maximum sentence as well as suffer the same humiliation, emotional torment, and physical abuse that he forced upon his victims. Personally, I have known the Coleman family for many decades. Unfortunately, I too turned a blind eye to the rumors of his appetite. We want to believe it couldn’t be true. Good job, good family, small town usa. But he is extremely manipulative, smart, and a smooth talker. There are others who need to come forward. Please. Help bring him to justice. It is not your fault, do not be ashamed. Let him be accountable

How dare anyone blame the victim for not coming forward sooner. You can not imagine the guilt, humiliation, and suffering one goes through when abused. The victims usually DO blame themselves for many years and most never come forward. Guys tend to think someone will say they are gay or they wanted it. Girls worry they brought it own themselves or they will be called wh***s. They internalize it. But remember, these are children, and children are taught to trust adults and listen to adults as well as mind/obey adults. After abuse, the psychological effects are externalized in many ways throughout adulthood. Friendships, interpersonal relationships, self-worth are all affected. Unfortunately, abuse can also lead to violence, suicide, depression, and perpetuate the cycle of abuse. I applaud this young man for having the courage to take that step. I hope this will somehow help in his recovery. Again, I also hope “others” will come forward to help justice to reign

something sounds kinda fishy, wait 10 years to file a complaint?.must be looking for a chance to sue someone, will be interesting to hear the rest of the facts on this one for sure.

sounds screwy to me.
