LONG BEACH, Miss. (AP) - Four people were arrested over theweekend in connection with recent vandalism at First Baptist Church
in Long Beach.
The three 17-year-olds and one 22-year-old were charged with
felony malicious mischief in connection with the June 17 vandalism.
According to the police report, the vandalism was
alcohol-related. Church members say the damage included graffiti
and broken windows, which have been repaired.
"We were just very sad that it happened to begin with. Not
really sad for the building but for those who did it, that they
would have such hatred in their heart to do something like that,"
said church member Brenda Davis.
