MELBOURNE, Fla. (AP) - A former space coast elementary teacher
will spend 30 days in jail for hosting a keg party for teenagers.

Emily Meyer, 30, was also sentenced Friday to 11 months
probation and 50 hours of community service.

Authorities say at least 50 teenagers attended the January
party. According to a police report, it spiraled out of control,
and included fist fights, drug use and girls dressed in lingerie.

Police say teens at the party were charged $5 a cup to cover the
cost of a keg.

I remember when I was in my preteens or early teens, I thought the DEALER tag meant they were drug dealers, and I couldn’t figure out why the police didn’t catch them!

Just poking fun at you a little KxVx. A young man that use to hang around here quite a bit that eventually married a young lady we raised after getting her out of the Strickland Youth center, always had a dealer tag on his vehicles because his uncle had a car lot or two. I would ask him “Are you ever going to get a real tag” and he would always tell me “ nope ! not as long as I can get a free one”. I always poked fun at him about his personalized Alabama tag.

Dealer tags are widely abused (placed on private vehicles-usually belonging to the children or spouse of the dealer), and I think she would have given me a hard time had the first thing out of my mouth not been “The car is for sale at the dealship I work at, I was just giving Officer [name withheld] a ride home while we repair her Impala.”

Seeing as most kids are 10 when they leave elementary school, I wonder how she even knew these teens in the first place. Former students?

Well...for what its worth,it does say “former” teacher. Not sure if she was terminated before this incident or if the termination was a result of this incident. Not that it really make any difference anyways...Shes another LOSER in a long list.....
