MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Two-year college Chancellor BradleyByrne has announced a new scholarship program for licensed
practical nursing students attending community colleges.
Each of the 22 two-year schools that offer LPN training will
receive two $1,000 scholarships each year from the Alabama Nursing
Home Association Education Foundation. Staff at each school will
choose the scholarship recipients.
To be eligible, students must have completed one semester of the
LPN program with a GPA of at least 2.5 and be enrolled for the next
semester. They must also do some of their clinical work in
long-term care.
The scholarships were announced Monday and will be available
starting with the fall 2008 semester.
