The fight against fat has been going on for years. Now there’s a new weapon in the war. It’s called LipoSelection. A local doctor is now offering this new fat melting method which uses ultrasound technology to target problem spots.
Valla Grodzicki is feeling pretty good about her figure these days just 3 weeks after having the LipoSelection procedure. “When I was thinking about what to wear, I thought, well let me look in my closet and see what I've got. I had bought this suit, which is tapered at the waist. when I was a little bit too big to wear it. It was too tight and I thought well, I'll try it on.” She’s able to wear her pink suit with ease just 3 weeks after having the procedure to target tummy fat.
“When I was young, I was thin, but I always had a stomach. We all carry our weight in different places and I always had more weight here.”
Dr. Corey Jacobs specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, but now is offering this LipoSelection. “It uses ultrasound and motion to help break the fat up and liquefy it. And so when we suck it out at the end there’s not the trauma that’s involved with traditional liposuction.”
Dr. Jacobs brought the gentler LipoSelection to his office to address the concerns of his patients who needed a little extra help fighting fat. “This was designed as a very easy remedy to get rid of those last little bits of fat that wasn’t leaving on its own.”
Valla’s LipoSelection was done through a tiny incision in Dr. Jacobs’ office. She was awake and alert the entire time. “it took less than two hours. I went home. It was on a Friday and I came back to work on Tuesday.”
Valla says it was a case of no pain and all gain. She gained a slimmer mid-section and now she can show off her pink suit and the waist she’s always wanted.
LipoSelection is not a good idea for people with multiple scars on the abdomen, people who are morbidly obese or people who have had weight loss surgery. After procedures like gastric bypass, patients are more likely to have problems with excess skin, not excess fat. A LipoSelection visit at Dr. Jacobs’ office costs around 27-hundred dollars.
