Mobile County Health Department offers free back-to-school dental screeningsThe Mobile County Health Department’s Dental Clinic will provide free back-to-school dental screenings on Tuesday, July 29, at 251 N. Bayou St. from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for ages 3 years to 20 years. There will be fun and prizes for children, fruit and other nutritional snacks, and handouts containing information about proper dental care and nutrition.
“In addition to getting them their dental check-ups,” says Dr. Bernard Eichold, Health Officer, “parents and other caregivers can help to ensure their children have a healthy and successful school year by getting them medical, vision, and hearing examinations at least once a year.”
Appointments for the dental screenings are recommended in order to minimize waiting time. Walk-ins, however, will be accepted. To schedule an appointment, call 690-8889.
